Anime Awards ’24

The Anime Awards returned to Japan for the second year in a row, this time with bigger stars, more performances, and a live orchestra.  The bar was raised in every way, including the first time an awards show has been shot in full with the latest in live cinema camera technology.

Produced for Crunchyroll/Sony by nearly 700 crew from around the world including Digital Cinema Collective, Funicular Goats, PRG, NEP, CT, Sony Music Solutions, and many others.  Toré Livia directed 11 cameras, featuring numerous Sony Venice 2 cameras with the latest Fujifilm cinema lenses.

Talent included Megan Thee Stallion, Bong Joon Ho, Yoasobi, and a never heard before orchestral medley of the some of the biggest anime ever.

The catered event came complete with a multi-course Japanese dinner and cocktails, Orange Carpet Pre-Show, and multiple press and social opportunities.

I was honored to be Executive Producer of the show and event for the second year.
